Translations are all too often an afterthought and ensuring vendors are properly vetted relegated down the list of priorities in favour of obtaining the lowest possible price.

But, think about it:

The consequences could be grave and very embarrassing. A badly translated screener could lead to the recruitment of the wrong target; a badly translated questionnaire to respondents in various countries answering different questions; a mistake in stimuli translation to the research being worthless.
At MediLAB we are acutely aware of this and this is why our Standard Operating Procedures include:
- All clients have a dedicated translation memory, for consistency, accuracy and reduced costs
- All translations are done by a qualified translator, expert in the topic and native of the target language
- All translations are reviewed by another language professional
- All translations are further reviewed by a market researcher who is native of the target language
